Friday Update

September 24, 2021
Dear St. Matthew’s Elementary School Families,

Today our entire school family celebrated a group of participants in the Cops for Cancer initiative.  Due to restrictions this event was held outdoors with all of our students cheering and encouraging these volunteers on their awesome task of raising money for cancer research and awareness!  Many classes made posters with special messages for them.  It was a great way to celebrate their efforts!

Sincerely in Christ,
Miss Welsh

We would like to extend much gratitude towards Tim McKinnon and Cheryl Andres, outgoing PEC members who have faithfully served our school these past eight years.  We wish them well in their future endeavours!

GRADE 5s VISIT ELIM VILLAGE

Members of the Grade 5 class visited senior residents at Elim Village on Wednesday.  Students were unable to go inside to interact with the seniors so instead they sang a few songs  outside in the courtyard.  The residents watched from their balconies and were quite appreciative of the Grade 5 students’ efforts.  Students also made cards which were given to the seniors.
