Today we had our annual Fun Day which went well; next Friday, June 17, 2022 we will have our annual school Talent Show. All are in invited to come and watch students share their talents in piano, dance, singing and more! All are welcome!

GOLF VOUCHERS
Come out to play, have fun and support St. Matthew’s Elementary School!
SMES and the Guildford Golf & Country Club have partnered up to offer golfing vouchers to purchase and use at your convenience. No matter what your golf skill level, vouchers purchased can be used by anyone, so they make perfect gifts for any golfer (beginner to advanced, young and old, couples, groups, etc.)

PARKING LOT UPDATE
Please note that as of Monday, June 20, 2022 the EAST entrance into the Holy Cross parking lot (closest to the track) will be permanently closed as preparations begin for Phase 1 of Holy Cross High School’s new building.
The only entrances available will be the middle entrance and the west entrance.
You will notice that in the next few days perimeter fencing will start to go up. Families will still have access to all 3 entrances until June 20, 2022.
All families are encouraged to start to think of alternate places to park or if possible are encouraged to walk. We appreciate your patience as new start of this on-going construction begins!
PANCAKE BREAKFAST – JUNE 26, 2022
St. Matthew’s Elementary is holding an end of year pancake breakfast! Back by popular demand the breakfast will be served in a “to go” box for families and parishioners to take and enjoy OR stay and visit following the morning Masses on Sunday, June 26, 2022. All proceeds will come back to the school and be put towards our technology needs. Click HERE for a link to the form. Please note that forms WILL go home with your child next week.
CORPUS CHRISTI PROCESSION INVITATION – GRADE 2 AND GRADE 7 STUDENTS
Dear Parents:
As you may have heard, we will be having a Eucharistic Procession on the Feast of Corpus Christi, Sunday June 19 @ 1:30 (after the 12:30 pm Mass). We are offering this solemn, joyful event to:
1. Thank God for a merciful end to the restrictions placed over our worship these past two years, and;
2. Pray that the Holy Father’s visit to Canada be a fruitful time of reconciliation and apostolic witness.
We are hoping that our Grade 2 and Grade 7 students will join. Ideally, if our First Communicants would wear white, or our Confirmands wear red (Robes can be available for students who sign up).
For those Grade 7 students who wish to wear the Red Gowns please contact the PREP office.
I will send out instructions for those families who are coming to participate.
