There are only six and a half more days left in the school year. It means we have a lot to do with little time left!
Please pray for our Grade 7 students who will celebrate a special “Farewell Mass” and have a recognition celebration on Friday, June 24, 2022. They will soon be moving on to high school – let us pray that they continue to turn to God as a source of strength and wisdom as they enter a new phase in their young lives!
Sincerely in Christ, Miss Welsh

NEWS FOR THIS WEEK
PARKING LOT UPDATE
Please note that as of Monday, June 20, 2022 the EAST entrance into the Holy Cross parking lot (closest to the track) will be permanently closed as preparations begin for Phase 1 of Holy Cross High School’s new building. There will be very limited parking available in the parish/school parking lot as the east section of the parking lot will be fenced off.
The only entrances available will be the middle entrance and the west entrance.
All families are encouraged to start to think of alternate places to park or if possible are encouraged to walk. We appreciate your patience as new start of this on-going construction begins!
PANCAKE BREAKFAST – TICKET FORM DUE BACK MONDAY!
This is a friendly reminder to fill out your pancake breakfast form and get it back to the school by the end of school day on Monday, June 20.
Alternatively, you can use our online form found at www.saintmatthews.ca/pancakes
This is our final pancake breakfast of the year and it will take place on Sunday, June 26, 2022 after both the 8:30 AM and 10:30 am Masses. Note that our school choir is singing at the 10:30 am Mass and it will be a lovely chance to connect with each other before the end of the year. All proceeds will go towards technology upgrades for our kids. We hope to see you there.
MONDAY LUNCH REMINDER
A friendly reminder that there will be no more Monday pizza lunches for the rest of this school year. A BIG thank you to all the Grade 6 parents who helped in this year-long fundraiser and to all the famlies who purchased pizza lunches for their children. Your support will help significantly defray the cost of the Outdoor Education program in October for our Grade 7 students! Thank you!
