Saint Dress Up Day and All Saints Mass November 1

Just like last year, our October 31 Non-Uniform Day will be focused on the saints of the Catholic Church. Students are encouraged to come dressed up as as their favourite saint. This is a wonderful opportunity for you and your child to learn key details about a saint’s life and to weave that information into a saint costume!

An alternative is for you and your child create a badge with your child's favourite or patron saint (templates are available at school).  If the badge option is chosen, then students must come dressed in regular uniform (the badge can be pinned onto their sweater.

Please note students are not required to bring money for this non-uniform day.

Also, there will be an All Saints Mass for our school children on Wednesday, November 1 at 9:00 am in St. Matthew's church.  All are welcome!

REMINDER:  Lifetouch, our school photographers, will be back the morning of  Monday, October 22, 2018 to retake individual photos of students.

3 Way Conference Sign Up

On Thursday, November 8, 2018 we will have our first student centred conference of the year: 3 Way Conferences.  Parent(s), child and your child's classroom teacher will meet at an appointed time to discuss strengths, challenges and goals for each student.

Please note that the focus for these conferences is on student self-reflection on the Core Competencies of Social Responsibility, Positive Personal and Cultural Identity and Personal Awareness and Responsibility.  Academics will be addressed in the first progress report in December.

Parents/guardians are required to sign up for a specific time using the OnVolunteer system.  Please click on the link below to access the system.  Please note that while this is not a regular day of school for students, students are required to come dressed in full uniform on this day.

Any family that has not signed up for a time slot by October 22, 2018 will be assigned a time.  If you have any questions please contact Miss Welsh at:

The parish is looking for more help with the washing of altar serving robes as the robes are being used more regularly now as some of our school children help serve at Mass during the week. So if anybody is wanting to help, please contact Teodora Suzuki at  Thank you!
