Celebration of Learning

Friday, February 7, 2020

As mentioned at the beginning of the school year the staff of St. Matthew's is committed to communicating out timely and authentic evidence of your child's learning and progress.  This year on Friday, February 7, 2020 from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm we will hold a Celebration of Learning evening.  Here are the particulars:

• Families will sign up for a 20 minute time slot using the OnVolunteer system

• During this 20 minutes your child will take you to their classroom where a display of their learning will be evident.  This 20 minutes will also include an opportunity for your child to show off skills they have learned in PE class

• After your session with your child you and your child are asked to visit all other classrooms!  Once your family has visited a classroom your family will receive a "stamp" in your very own Celebration of Learning Passport!

• Get stamps from every classroom and receive a special treat before heading home that evening

• Signing up for a time slot on OnVolunteer will be made available on Friday, January 24, 2020 at 1:00 pm.  Families have until Friday, January 31, 2020 to sign up. If you do not sign up for a time slot then one will be assigned for you.

Please note that we still have a regular day of school from 8:45 am - 2:55 pm.

If you have any questions please contact Miss Welsh at:  604-589-7545 or
